A CASE OF LAND GRABBING AGAINST SURESH BABU AND RANA
In a case involving suspected land snatching, Tollywood star Rana Daggubati and his father, renowned film producer D. Suresh Babu, are facing legal issues. In the lawsuit filed by local businessman Pramod Kumar, who claims that father and son are pressuring him to leave land that is his, the "Baahubali" actor and his father are named.
They have received a summons in this matter from the third extra chief metropolitan magistrate court in the city, located at Nampally.
The complaint states that Suresh Babu rented him the contested Shaikpet plot in 2014. A deal was allegedly struck when Suresh Babu decided to sell him the land for Rs 18 crore once the lease expired.
Pramod Kumar asserts that despite having contributed Rs 5 crore to the transaction, Suresh Babu has neglected to finish the selling and registration requirements. Before the dispute could be settled, the complaint claims, Suresh Babu transferred the land into his son Rana's name.
The petitioner is rumored to be holding a news conference soon. Rana Daggubati came before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in September 2021 as part of the investigation into the 2017 drug scandal trial.
